Our approach to hosting, authentication and data ownership
Last updated: 10 September 2026
Hosting and data location
The cloud edition runs in the Amazon Web Services (AWS) Asia Pacific (Jakarta) region. Where data-residency requirements are strict, ask us about running the platform in a cloud region in your country, or on your own infrastructure.
Communication and authentication
- All traffic is encrypted with Transport Layer Security (TLS); certificates are renewed automatically
- One account per person, with an e-mailed code as a second sign-in step
- Role-based permissions (administrator or user), and sharing scoped to a group
Operations
- Administrative actions are logged: who published or changed what, and when
- Server administration goes through an encrypted browser-based session service rather than a remote shell; no Secure Shell (SSH) port is open to the internet
- The database and the object storage are backed up on a schedule
Data ownership
Data you bring into the platform stays yours, or the original provider's. The Company uses customer data only to provide and maintain the service. How third-party satellite analysis products are handled is set out under Data Licence.
Reporting a vulnerability
If you find a vulnerability in the service, please contact ocgsatellitepf@gmail.com. We will investigate and respond in good faith.
